Gabriel Lau
Since establishing Golden Earth Developments in 2017 Gabriel’s focus on the company’s strategic direction has led to a development pipeline in excess of £100m across sectors which include high-end and multi-unit residential, commercial, and resort development, designed to generate appropriate returns in a complex market. Recent focus has been on prime South-West London, particularly Wimbledon Village, where he has extensive local knowledge and contacts, but also in ensuring the companies strategic direction of delivering high quality family housing in desirable areas is met.
Gabriel specialises in providing structured development and funding solutions for clients and strategic partners, maximising value through the planning system, and the sourcing, appraising and acquisition of development opportunities.
Stephen Metcalfe
Stephen has been an investment banker and private equity investor for over 22 years, and was previously Head of Equity Capital Markets for Asia and South-East Asia at Credit Suisse, Nomura Securities and Samsung Securities. He was previously Head of Equity Capital Market Syndication at Credit Suisse, Indosuez WI Carr and SBC Warburg as well as previously working for UBS and Price Waterhouse. He has been involved in raising finance through the equity capital markets for over 25 years including private equity and pre-IPO investment in Europe, the UK and Asia.
Stephen has a track record in resort residential property development and financing in Asia and property management of residential portfolios in the UK. He has also been involved in the structuring of financing for hotel development in India, resort residential development in Bali, Indonesia and Thailand as well as residential development in the UK.
Stephen focuses on structuring and financing opportunities for Golden Earth in both planning and development opportunities in the residential, commercial and resort sectors.
Michael Benham
Michael joined Golden Earth Developments as a junior development partner and has since gone on to become Construction Director for our Design and Build division. Michael’s considerable development and contracting experience stems from years of running his own construction company and his track record includes back-to-brick refurbishments, extensions, lofts, new builds and basements.
His expertise in overseeing the delivery of projects for high profile clients has garnered him a reputation for providing an outstanding level of service in which he ensures that client’s exacting requirements are met and delivered to the highest standard.
